Delete pages from a PDF online for free

Pick the pages you do not need on the thumbnails and download a shorter PDF. Nothing else in the document is re-encoded.

How to delete pages from a PDF

  1. 1

    Open your PDF

Click the upload area or drag a PDF in. Every page appears as a thumbnail.

  2. 2

    Select the pages to remove

Click the thumbnails of the pages you want gone. The count of remaining pages updates as you go.

  3. 3

    Check what is left

Review the selection. At least one page has to remain, so a PDF can never be emptied by accident.

  4. 4

    Download the shorter PDF

Download the result. The pages you kept are copied through without being re-encoded.

Deleting PDF pages: FAQ

Does deleting pages shrink the file?

Usually, because the removed pages' content is dropped. If you need a smaller file beyond that, use the compress tool.

Can I get a deleted page back?

Not from the downloaded file. Your original PDF on this device is never modified, so open it again to start over.

Can I keep the removed pages as a separate file?

Yes, with the split tool: select the pages you wanted to remove and extract them into their own PDF first.

Is there a page limit?

There is no fixed limit. Very large documents are bounded by the memory your browser can use on this device.

Does this work on a password-protected PDF?

Not yet. An encrypted PDF has to be opened with its password first, and that tool is still in progress.
