Signing a PDF: FAQ

Is this a legally binding electronic signature?

This tool places a visible signature image on the page. It does not apply a cryptographic digital signature certificate, which is what some jurisdictions and counterparties require.

Is my signature uploaded anywhere?

No. Drawing, placing and exporting all run in your browser. A signature you choose to reuse is stored only in this browser on this device.

Can I reuse the same signature on another document?

Yes. A saved signature stays available in this browser, so the next document can use it without drawing it again.

Can I sign on a phone or tablet?

Yes. On a touch screen you can draw the signature with your finger or a stylus.

Can I add the date and my printed name too?

Yes. Use the add-text tool in the same editor to type the date or your name next to the signature.
